A shallow stream runs through a wooded canyon, passing over rocks and small rapids beneath steep red and cream sandstone cliffs. This panoramic autumn landscape was photographed near Canyon Junction on the Pa'rus Trail in Zion National Park, Utah, under a partly cloudy blue sky.
Story
Captured on October 1, 2014, near Canyon Junction on the Pa'rus Trail, the image looks along the stream toward the canyon interior. Small rapids, scattered boulders, dense trees, pointed ridges, and a partly cloudy blue sky create a detailed natural landscape with a strong central perspective.
