Description
A broad river curves around a long, vegetation-covered island or peninsula along the Klondike Highway in central Yukon. Forested banks, gravel shorelines, conifers, deciduous foliage and a muted mountain ridge create layered autumn scenery.
Story
The river occupies most of the scene, flowing around a long central island or peninsula covered with shrubs, grasses and slender trees. Gravel shorelines, dense conifer forest and pale distant mountain slopes add texture and depth, while soft daylight preserves the subdued blue-green and autumn color palette.
