Story
Captured on 17 October 2007, the photograph looks across the Sacun area above Ortisei in South Tyrol. The Church of St. James in Sacun and its pointed bell tower occupy the hillside, while layered forested ridges and prominent rocky peaks extend across the background. Sunlit grass, clear blue sky, thin clouds, and warm autumn colors give the scene a crisp alpine character.
