A broad glacier extends through a rugged alpine valley in the Columbia Icefield area of Alberta, framed by steep dark rock walls and snow-covered mountain slopes. Story
Captured in August 2015, the image looks across a glacier valley from an elevated rocky overlook on Boundary Peak Route in Improvement District No. 12, Alberta. The glacier leads from the foreground toward the distant snowfield, while steep mountain walls frame the composition. Soft daylight, layered clouds and subtle blue-gray ice textures preserve a natural, documentary feel. The location is within Jasper National Park, in the Columbia Icefield area of the Canadian Rockies.
