Story
The photograph captures the chapel from slightly below, emphasizing its steep overlapping slate roofs, pointed tower and metal cross. Weathered masonry, wooden shutters, a dark drainpipe and scattered pale rocks add fine architectural and environmental detail. The image was made on 14 August 2008 at approximately 2,158 metres, at a location within Naturpark Dobratsch near Bad Bleiberg and the Villacher Alpenstraße. The mist-filled background and open sky provide a clear sense of the exposed mountain setting without obscuring the chapel itself.
