Description

Story
Taken on 3 October 2010, the image looks upward from Main Park Road toward a broad wall of weathered red sandstone. Layered cliffs, rounded erosion patterns and a narrow spire-like outcrop dominate the scene, while red sandy soil, shrubs, dry bushes and green trees fill the foreground. The clear autumn light emphasizes the warm rock tones and textured Colorado Plateau landscape.
