Story
Captured on 17 June 2017, the image looks across the upper alpine valley from an elevated viewpoint at approximately 1,964 metres. Several river channels cross the valley floor, while grassy slopes, exposed gray rock, scattered vegetation, and lingering snow define the mountain setting. The location is identified as Furkastrasse in Obergoms, within the Goms district of Valais, Switzerland, near the Gletsch and Furka Pass area.
