A narrow waterfall descends from a dark, mossy ledge in the layered red sandstone canyon landscape of Lower Emerald Pool Trail. Wet rocks, green vegetation, water-stained cliffs, and a bright overcast sky create a naturalistic autumn scene in Zion National Park, Utah.
Story
Captured on 7 October 2010, the image looks upward from a rocky drainage channel toward a thin waterfall dropping over a dark, mossy ledge. Layered rust-red canyon walls, water stains, wet stones, shrubs, grasses, and sparse trees are visible beneath a bright overcast sky.
