Story
The photograph presents a broad elevated view from the Monte Pic landscape protection area near Ortisei, also known as Urtijëi or St. Ulrich in Gröden. Rocky ledges, grasses, shrubs, and small yellow flowers occupy the foreground, while conifer-covered slopes, meadows, roads, and buildings extend through the valley. Gray limestone peaks and layered ridges form the distant backdrop. Captured in June, the image conveys the clear daylight and varied green tones of a summer panorama in the Dolomites.
