Story
Captured in August 2015, the image looks across a forested valley from the Icefields Parkway in Alberta, Canada. A glacier or permanent snowfield descends through the central mountain range, while a narrow lake appears behind the treetops. Pink flowering plants fill the foreground beneath a deep blue, partly cloudy sky. The location is in Banff National Park near the Crowfoot Glacier roadside viewpoint, approximately 36 kilometres north of Lake Louise.
