A wide summer panorama overlooks the rural settlement of St. Magdalena–Santa Maddalena in Villnöss–Funes, South Tyrol. The small Church of St. Magdalene stands among green meadows and forested hills, with the dramatic Geisler/Odle mountain group rising behind it.
Story
Captured on 18 June 2018, the image looks across the Villnöss Valley from Magdalenaweg in Bühler. Bright summer light reveals sloping meadows, a narrow paved path, scattered farm buildings and forested hills, while the serrated gray peaks of the Geisler/Odle group dominate the background beneath a blue sky with scattered clouds.
