A wide stitched panorama shows the Colorado River curving through a deeply incised red-rock canyon near Thelma & Louise Point on Shafer Trail, Utah. Layered cliffs, mesas, buttes, riverbank vegetation and distant ridgelines create a detailed autumn landscape viewed from above.
Story
Captured in autumn, the panorama follows the river from the foreground toward the distant left, framed by steep terracotta and brown cliffs, mesas, buttes and horizontal rock strata. Dense green vegetation lines the water, while bright daylight and a clear blue sky reveal the geological detail across the canyon landscape. The GPS-supported location is Thelma & Louise Point on Shafer Trail in San Juan County, within the wider Moab area; the image is not identified as being inside Dead Horse Point State Park.
