This autumn panorama looks across a vast red-rock canyon from the West Rim Trail at Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah. Layered canyon walls, flat-topped mesas, eroded ridges, and a winding river create a broad natural landscape beneath a partly cloudy sky.
Story
Captured on October 5, 2010, the image presents a high, wide-angle view across canyon walls, ravines, plateaus, and rocky foreground formations.
